Most people are paying for subscriptions they've forgotten — a free trial that quietly turned into a paid one, an app they "cancelled" that kept charging, a gym membership from two phones ago. Erasr finds them. Connect Gmail or Outlook in one tap; Erasr reads only your billing emails — never the rest of your inbox, never your bank — and shows you every charge that keeps coming back, in Canadian dollars. Then it walks you through cancelling the ones you don't want, with steps written for Canadian companies.

Erasr is built to protect your privacy from the start: it reads only email receipts via a secure, read-only inbox connection — never your bank — never sells your information, and runs no ads. Stopping Erasr is exactly as easy as starting it. Built and run by a solo developer in Whitehorse, Yukon, with all data kept in Canada (Supabase, Toronto).

Short: JP is a Whitehorse, Yukon developer who built Erasr after finding ~$1,200/year of forgotten subscriptions in his own statements — and realizing every tool that solved this was American and wanted his bank login.

Long: JP came to software from construction, where small recurring costs quietly eroding a margin is a daily reality. When Mint shut down and Canadians were funnelled toward US-only tools that wanted bank access, he built Erasr — a narrower, more trustworthy approach that reads only billing emails via read-only inbox connect, prices in CAD, keeps your data in Canada, and makes cancelling (including cancelling Erasr) deliberately easy. Built solo, with AI as a working partner — said openly, because a product that asks for trust should show how it's made.
